The Definition of Service
I had the opportunity to listen to a presentation by Stephanie Leese Emrich. She is the founder and Chief Service Officer of ServiceSpeaks, LTD. Additionally she is a former National Concierge Association Chicago President and member of Les Clefs d’ Or. Her presentation motto is; a smile is the key that fits the lock of everybody’s heart and the key to success. I really appreciated her definition of “service”,
Service:
Sincerity: Authentically delivering service with utmost sincerity, even when that requires extra effort.
Encouragement: Showing unrelenting support; reserving judgment.
Rapport: Pursuing an on-going dialogue, in a professional yet caring and cordial way.
Value: Arrangements we make or information we provide is perceived to be personal and customized (solving a challenge for a client or guest).
Initiative: Extending yourself, raising the stakes and taking a risk!
Contribution: Make all that you do indelible.
End Zone: “There is no Finish Line”.
What a great way to deliver “service”. Hopefully this is a helpful insight to your business!
Regards to you and a balanced life!
